Chelsea Blackmon is a recent graduate of the University of Central Florida where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Communications. While pursuing her degree she served as the President of the UCF chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists. During her tenure she was able to implement new strategies to generate more visibility on their social media platforms. She is currently serving as a Communications Associate where she helps manage and curate stories and content for the organization's various social platforms. While at Green The Church, she has helped launch the Black History Month Green Heroes Campaign, as well as the 2019 Earth Day Initiative. Chelsea has a passion for storytelling and works to insure GTC continues to tell the stories of those working to make the world a greener place. Chelsea aspires to continue to work in the non profit sector helping underprivileged youth in South Florida prepare for college.
