Green The Church was created and developed by Carroll Ministries International (CMI).

CMI is a faith-based organization developed to meet the spiritual needs of all persons, families and communities. The core values include the promotion and support of the following:

  • Christian Education
  • Christian Ministry
  • Church Enrichment
  • Community Enrichment
  • Family Outreach
  • Women in Ministry

CMI embodies the nature and purpose of pastoral ministry which is believed is to facilitate altruism in individuals while building a sense of community for all humanity. Rooted in the family and the land, the organization’s founders consist of a mother and six African American siblings (three brothers and three sisters) with the legacy of a 100 years old homestead in Louisiana.

The organization was inspired by the example set by their pastor father the Reverend Benjamin Carroll Senior. The late Reverend Carroll grew up in the rural south on the family homestead and migrated north and then west to serve families who had moved during and after World War II and built communities.

Four of the six siblings attended the Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta and became pastors. Throughout their careers, each have served congregations in many different states from California to Florida. As such, each in various stages of their pastoral careers and based upon collective experience they can relate to and have personal insight into the transitions and challenges of being a pastoral leader. As young graduates from seminary school in the early 1990s, they followed the example set by their father to be an effective and efficient full-time pastor of an Inner-City African American Church.

CMI is a holistic ministry that upholds the example of Christ and meets people where they are seeking to rebuild families and communities by helping them return to Church and recognize the power of God in their lives, especially for the maintenance of a healthy life, family and community. The ministry understands the whole person in the context of their environment and offers more than a place of worship, we also provide a platform to support social justice and personal growth.
