Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Clean energy is vital in our efforts to promote and support the health and wellness within our most venerable communities. According to EPA reports, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from transportation account for about 29 percent of total U.S. greenhouse gas emissions, making it the largest contributor of U.S. GHG emissions.
As faith leaders, I invite you to join me in signing a letter to President Biden and EPA Administrator Regan calling for a new and stronger set of clean car standards. We will deliver the letter to President Biden and EPA Administrator Regan this summer, and we will also work to get media attention on why strong clean car standards are a moral opportunity.
