Oakland, CA — January 1, 2026 — Green The Church (GTC) today announced the appointment of Kim Noble as Managing Director. Noble brings more than 12 years of experience advancing equitable social, environmental, and public health outcomes, with a focus on community-centered engagement and partnerships that prioritize underserved communities. Noble is returning to Green The Church, where she previously served in a senior operations role during key phases of the organization’s growth.
“Kim is a builder,” said Rev. Dr. Ambrose Carroll, Founder and Executive Director of Green The Church. “She is values-driven, faith-grounded, and deeply trusted. From the early days of Green The Church, she helped shape the vision and transform it into a living, breathing movement. Her blend of operational leadership, public-sector experience, and community trust is exactly what this season calls for.”
Most recently, Noble served at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as Senior Advisor for Environmental Education in the Office of Public Engagement and Environmental Education. In that role, she supported national environmental education and public engagement initiatives, including outreach with educators, community-based organizations, Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), and other Minority Serving Institutions. She also helped establish the National Environmental Youth Advisory Council (NEYAC) to elevate youth perspectives and recommendations on environmental issues.
Before joining the EPA, Noble served as Chief Operations Officer for Green The Church, where she helped strengthen internal operations and expand collaboration with African American faith leaders and grassroots partners. She also supported the development of communications and storytelling efforts that highlighted faith-based leadership on clean energy, resilience, and community wellbeing.
In addition to her role with GTC, Noble will serve as Director of Operations for Green The Church Renewable Energy Development (GTC RED).
