Green The Church Appoints Kim Noble as Managing Director and Director of Operations for GTC RED
Feb 01, 2026Oakland, CA — Feb 1st 2026 — Green The Church (GTC), a national leader equipping Black churches and faith communities to advance environmental justice and climate resilience, announced the appointment of Kim Noble as Managing Director of Green The Church and Director of Operations for Green The Church Renewable Energy Development (GTC RED).
Noble brings more than a decade of leadership experience, focused on improving social, environmental, and public health outcomes for communities historically excluded from environmental decision-making and investment.
A trusted leader within the organization, Noble returns to Green The Church after previously serving as Chief Operations Officer, where she helped build the operational foundation and strengthen partnerships with African American faith leaders, community-based organizations, and grassroots coalitions nationwide.
Most recently, Noble served in the Biden Administration at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as Senior Advisor for Environmental Education in the Office of Public Engagement and Environmental Education. In that role, she supported programs for educators and students, oversaw grants and professional development initiatives, and helped foster stronger collaboration with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Minority Serving Institutions, and frontline communities.
“Kim is a builder,” said Rev. Dr. Ambrose Carroll, Founder and Executive Director of Green The Church. “She is values-driven, faith-grounded, and deeply trusted. From the early days of Green The Church, she helped shape the vision and transform it into a living, breathing movement.”
In her dual leadership role, Noble will oversee day-to-day operations, strategic partnerships, and organizational growth for both GTC and GTC RED, supporting the expansion of clean energy access, environmental education, and resilience initiatives within Black faith communities across the country.
“Green The Church has always been about faith in action,” said Noble. “I’m honored to step into this role and continue working alongside pastors, partners, and communities to ensure our people are not only included in the clean energy future, but are leading it.”
A Georgia native, Noble earned her B.A. in Mass Communications from Fort Valley State University. She is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc and remains deeply committed to service, mentorship, and community empowerment.
