Under New Managing Director Kim Noble, Green The Church Looks Forward to Projects Ahead

gtc announcement press release Apr 02, 2026

Greetings to our Green The Church Family,

Earlier this year, we excitedly announced that we had appointed a new Managing Director: Kim Noble. In just a few short weeks, she's already proven herself as an outstanding leader and a valuable member of the team.

Noble is a returning member to the GTC family, after all. She served as our Chief Operating Officer (COO) from 2020 – 2022. In the interim, she had the honor of serving as Senior Advisor for Environmental Education for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) during the Biden Administration.

Acting as part of the Office of Public Engagement and Environmental Education (OPEEE), Noble helped lead the Agency’s environmental education and public engagement efforts. Her tenure supported outreach and trust-building with community-based organizations, educators, HBCUs and other Minority Serving Institutions, and many national partners.

Since joining the GTC team, Noble has helped us move forward on a slate of bold projects. Their collective goal: to engage the larger faith-based community while securing greater environmental health and justice for historically under-represented communities.

In this spirit, we intend to launch an online portal and mobile app in 2026 to build infrastructure for a nationwide network of environmentally-engaged pastors and clergy members. GTC has also begun planning its next National Summit, currently scheduled to be held in Palm Beach County in October of 2027.

In her role as Managing Director for GTC, Noble has set a goal to lead enduring, positive transformations within communities through programs like these. "We have to be able to connect in ways that leave a true, lasting positive impact on our communities," she says. "We also need to aim for changes and programs that can persist even in a rapidly changing and unpredictable policy environment."

GTC is appreciative of her contributions and commitment, and we are thrilled to have her on-board. Kim is a proven builder, values driven, faith-grounded, and deeply trusted by everyone here at GTC. We feel more confident now that she can bring her skills, knowledge, and energetic community building capacity as we move forward on our ambitious plans in the months ahead.

With Noble's assistance, we have no doubt that we will be able to aid communities, forge stronger networks, and accomplish great things, together.

With Gratitude,
Rev. Dr. Ambrose Carroll
